Can I print on one side, both sides or all the way round?

Any of them, at no extra cost. The print area wraps around the mug, so you can place your design wherever you like within it.

What colour are the mugs?

The outside is white, so your print shows at its brightest. You choose the colour of the inside and the handle: white, black, red, blue, green, yellow, orange or pink. Or pick the colour-changing mug, which is dark when cold and reveals your design when you pour in a hot drink.

Can I print over the whole mug, handle and all?

No. We print within the wrap-around print area (200 × 80mm), not the handle, the very top and bottom or the base. That's why we suggest avoiding solid background colours: they'd stop short of the rim and base.

What are they made of, and how are they printed?

Good-quality ceramic that feels sturdy and premium. We print by dye sublimation, which gives vibrant colours that last.

How many can I order?

From 1 to 500 in a single order. The price per mug drops as you order more.

Can I put photos on my mug?

Yes. Photos and detailed graphics both print well. Use images at 300dpi.

Can I get a black mug?

The outside of the mug is always white so your print stays bright. Choose Black for a black inside and handle.

Can I print on the bottom of the mug?

No, only the wrap-around print area on the side.

Can I order different designs or names?

Yes, one design per order: order each design or personalised name separately.

What file should I send?

A CMYK PDF, ideally PDF/X-1a, designed to the 200 × 80mm print area at 300dpi, with fonts outlined or embedded. No bleed needed. Keep text at least 8pt (10pt is better), and QR codes at least 2 × 2cm. Download our wrap-around or two-sided template (PDF, Illustrator or InDesign) to get the layout right, then delete the guides before you send it.

Do they come in a gift box?

No, but they're well protected: a single mug comes in its own smash-proof box, two mugs in a double box, and 3 or more are individually wrapped in an outer carton.

Are mugs good for events and gifts?

Yes. They're an inexpensive gift people actually keep, which makes them great for events, giveaways, client gifts and team perks.

Will you check my artwork?

Yes. File Check is free and selected by default: our prepress team check size, resolution and more, and contact you if anything needs fixing. If you'd rather we fixed the problems for you, choose File Assist. We'll resize, fix fonts and correct the layout for a flat fee. Nothing goes to print until the artwork is right.

Can I send my artwork later?

Yes. Place your order and email your artwork over when it's ready. Production starts once we have it.

How long will my order take?

Choose Saver, Standard or Express in the price table. Express is printed and delivered in 2 working days. The estimated delivery date for each speed is shown at the top of its column. UK mainland delivery is included.

Before you sendArtwork

Artwork checklist.

Get these right and your mugs print exactly as designed. Our free File Check catches problems before anything is printed.

01Download a template: wrap-around for a design all the way round, or two-sided for a logo on each side.
02Design to the 200 × 80mm print area. No bleed needed.
03For a two-sided design, centre each logo on its guide and keep it up to 65mm wide.
04Supply a CMYK PDF (ideally PDF/X-1a) with fonts outlined or embedded.
05Use images at 300dpi. Vector artwork (logos, text) prints sharpest.
06Avoid solid background colours: the print stops about 8mm from the top and bottom, so a fill leaves a white band.
07Keep text at least 8pt, ideally 10pt, and 14pt for white text on a coloured background.
08QR codes at least 2 × 2cm, dark on white, and test they still scan once curved round the mug.
09Keep everything important inside the print area: the handle and the very top and bottom aren't printed.
10Delete the template guides before you send your file.
