Will it stick to any car?

It sticks to flat or gently curved steel panels, like most car and van doors. It won't hold on aluminium, plastic or fibreglass panels, or over creases, hollows and trims. The whole sign needs to sit flat against the metal.

Make sure the panel and the back of the sign are clean, dry and free of dust, grit and ice. Don't put it on fresh paintwork, especially a non-factory respray. Place it on rather than sliding it, as trapped grit can scratch the paint. If it arrives rolled or creased, lay it flat somewhere warm for a few hours first.

How do I look after my car's paint?

Take the sign off every 2 or 3 days and clean and wax the panel behind it. In hot weather, take it off at the end of every day. When frost is forecast, take it off overnight so ice can't creep underneath. Used this way, the risk of damage is very low, but magnetic signs can in rare cases mark paintwork.

The magnet meets European standards for vehicle use. Stick to the speed limit, and take signs off in strong winds: the sheet stiffens in the cold, so it's more likely to lift on cold, windy days. We can't guarantee a sign won't come off in use.

How should I store it?

Flat, somewhere cool and dry. Heat weakens the magnet, and storing it against other magnets for a long time can damage it.

Most people order two, one for each front door. Add more for the back doors or tailgate.

Will you check my artwork?

Yes. File Check is free and selected by default: our prepress team check size, resolution and more, and contact you if anything needs fixing. If you'd rather we fixed the problems for you, choose File Assist. We'll resize, fix fonts and correct the layout for a flat fee. Nothing goes to print until the artwork is right.

Can I send my artwork later?

Yes. Place your order and email your artwork over when it's ready. Production starts once we have it.
